GNRC members in Pakistan are strengthening interfaith collaboration and government engagement, echoing the commitments of the GNRC Strategy 2030 and the Abu Dhabi Declaration on Building a Hopeful World for Children.

At a reception hosted at the President’s House on August 11 to mark National Minority Day, President Asif Ali Zardari, the First Lady Aseefa Bhutto, Federal Law Minister Azam Tarar, and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony welcomed religious leaders from Pakistan’s Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Bahá’í, and Parsi communities. The event gave space for minority representatives to share both progress and challenges in their pursuit of dignity, rights, and inclusion.

Representing the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC), David Paul, Coordinator, Pakistan, joined the gathering, bringing the network’s voice for interfaith harmony to the national stage. His participation reflected the Abu Dhabi Plan of Action’s call for deeper collaboration between governments and faith leaders in advancing peace, justice, and children’s dignity.

This moment in Pakistan is one of many ways GNRC members worldwide are putting the GNRC Strategy 2030 into practice by amplifying marginalized voices, building bridges with governments, and creating pathways of collaboration that safeguard the rights and dignity of every child.
